Financing, Energy Performance Contracting & Power Purchase Arrangements

Systems Solutions provides green mechanical engineering and efficiency upgrades that help facility owners lower costs. While working with EMCo, there is no need to delay any project based on capital restrictions. While the initial cost for some of our programs may seem out of reach, the cost of suspending an upgrade due to budget limitations can actually be greater over the long haul. In short, the sooner the switch the faster the payback, the longer the wait the greater the overall expense.

For organizations where capital requirements for facility improvements isn't always at hand, we offer Project Financing, Energy Performance Contracting and Power Purchase Arrangement services. By providing finance options and project alternatives, EMCo Systems Solutions can help almost any organization meet their financial and sustainability goals with cost effective solutions that work. Our team will help explain the process and weigh the issues to determine the best strategy that meets every facilities short, mid and long term goals.

Project Financing and Third Party Leasing are options available to assist with the acquisition of hardware, systems improvements and/or installation services. We help locate the funds needed to push the project forward. Our team works directly with banks, and investment groups us to ensure that capital requirements don't stand in the way of capital progress. Terms range from 36 months to 15 years with most average paybacks occurring inside of 5-Years. For certain institutions on certain projects, no downpayment is required.

Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) is a long term program which allows property owners to benefit from efficiency upgrades by implementing the designs at the construction phase of a project, and bundling the cost of upgrades into the overall project, construction or mortgage cost for the facility. The short term payback and long term rewards are factored into the amortized project costs which amounts to a discount in monthly operating costs over the life of the facility, adding value to the property and end users. Energy Performance Contracting is a system that must be considered by any property owner for any new facility being developed, and EMCo will help guide the way.

Power Purchase Arrangements (PPA) provide facilities, large and small, the benefits of discounted power by contracting local power generation services. In today's traditional grid supply of energy, more than half of the electricity produced is lost in transmission before reaching the outlet, and the thermal power that is generated in the process never leaves the plant. The cost of the inefficient grid is then subsidized by the end users through high rates and unnecessary demand charges. Producing power on site can drastically lower energy costs and improve overall operating efficiency. The benefit to producing power locally is twofold; a higher electricity utilization rate and the option for using the thermal power being generated.

For existing facilities that want to lower their energy bills, Power Purchase Arrangements have never been easier. EMCo will help design and implement an improved facility design and meet the new energy demand through a Combined Heat & Power generation system designed to meet those needs. The system is owned and operated by an independent third party that agrees to sell 100% of the power generated directly to the facility at a discount from current rate. PPA's provide pre-established long term pricing arrangements for both electricity and thermal power. Try getting that from your local utility company. Working directly with the finance team while managing the design, construction, and implementation of the CHP system, EMCo will make the transition from grid supply to local supply seamless.

Allowing property management to lower costs and benefit from higher operating efficiency is how EMCo can make any facility's future a little more green. For more information about any of our energy finance programs, please ask our project development team for details.
